Bulky To Work With. $300 Steering Shaft Assembly Broke!
The motor has been very easy to start either by pull start or electric start. My main problem with it is that it is too hard for my 75 year old body to handle, plus the main steering shaft broke without any obvious stress and it is a $322 part to replace.
Cons: Heavy, Difficult To Use, Durability, Expensive

Contact Cub Cadet at 1 (877) 428-2349, and they'll tell you where to get it fixed. If it's rather new, it should be under warranty.

Would Not Buy Another One
I've had the cub cadet 933swe for three years. This model has no throttle control only wide open all the time. Backfires when you shut it off and is very hard to start when warm. The plastic snow discharge chute will not stay where you put it. If you tighten the bolts to hold it in place it can't be moved if you leave it loose it won't stay in place. The headlight shines on the discharge shoot so you can't see much in the dark. The cam deal that holds the auger engaged while your are holding... more

What Are The Other Reviewers Talking About...?
I read the first 2 reviews and I'm completely baffled. If we're talking about the same snow blower, then these people are missing a chromosome. I've had this unit for just over a year now, and I've never had any issues with it. It's a complete monster.

The chute is easy to move, and has never separated on me. I've plowed through a foot and a half of snow, like it was butter. The entire unit is built with exceptional quality. I noticed that every bolt was marked with a grease pen to... more

Poor Quality
The chute does not stay in position (my biggest complaint), the plastic which separates individual speed selectors broke (for 2nd speed) and now the entire contents of the fuel tanks are leaking out (as quickly as I fill it).

Obviously a problem with the carb, primer bulb or a fuel line. I don't want to spend all winter fixing this thing. Again.

Using My Snow Blower
I live in Denver Colorado. I don't know how the snow blower works because it hasn't snowed yet.

It's been a very dry year. I do know one thing... if you go to a chain store in my area you can get the same snow blower only a different color, with all the accessories that I paid extra for, for less.

SBD RESPONDS: If the snowblower is a different color, it's a different model. Whatever manufacturer made it may have used a lighter weight unit and put accessories with it to boost the sale.
