Extremely Unhappy
I bought this model 4 years ago. At the end of last season, the piston came out of the side of the head....Kabaaammmm! I had a previous Craftsman mower which I used for 23 years.....and never changed the oil in it.....go figure. I need a new mower, but definitely will not get another Craftsman.

Poorest Quality Mower Ever
I bought this mower because it was a Craftsman and was made in the USA. It worked for one month and then could not maintain power and eventually kept stalling. During the first Summer, it was in the service center four times and I was told it was dirty, it used the worng gas, and that they could find nothing wrong with it. The last cut of the season it ran and this Spring it ran well again twice. then it started doing the exact same thing. I paid $150 for a complete rebuild after being told I... more

Do Not Buy This Mower!!!!!
I had this mower for about a year and I took it back once already about 6 months ago. It has never started right the whole time I had it. I took it back to Sears and they try to make up stuff like I'm using old gas etc. I hate it. Now it does not work at all and I don't want to take it back. I will just by a new one. I owned a Craftsman mower before and had no problems with it. This particular mower has been a nightmare.
Cons: Low Quality, Unreliable

Service Center Lies: Must Be Using Dirty Gas...
crap mower. Something wrong from the manufacturer with this carburetor or something. Three times the service center within the first year says it wont start cause I used dirty gas. They never even took the carb. apart to clean or inspect. Now I see all these other reviews with the same thing. BULL CRAP. This whole model is a lemon. I finally took it back a fourth time at the beginning of this season due to same issue and demanded my money back or else.

I got on Facebook and twitter and lit... more

Junk
The blade adapter, believe it or not keeps breaking. Two so far have broke. The tits on them shear off without even hit anything hard. I've tried using a bolt with fiber washer as Sears suggested. Hey, worked a couple of cuttings. After that, total frustration. Junk. Do not buy this mower. You have been warned.

New Junk
I got one brand spankin new. When I start it, it blows smoke out and there is no oil in the gas. I didn't want to give it a one star rating, but I had to do it so I could submit my review. It doesn't deserve even a one star rating.
Cons: Low Quality, Unreliable, Durability, Expensive

Simple But Effective
This is no Cadillac of mowers rather it is more along the lines of a entry level economy car. There aren't a lot of features, no blade stop, no electric start, you have to adjust the height at all 4 wheels...But what it does have it does well enough.
Deck washout port, discharge, mulch or bag. Fwd self propel works good and at less then 300$ it's a good value. This year I will find out how durable it is.
Pros: Easy To Use, Price
Cons: Low Quality
