Mowers Direct Lists Final 8 in Mower Madness Tournament

BOLINGBROOK, IL (March 31, 2014) - At MowersDirect.com, Round 3 of Mower Madness has come to an end.

The initial tournament field of 64 lawn mower brands has been narrowed to 8. The remaining brands are ready to battle it out for a chance at the semifinals.

No. 3 Ferris advanced to Round 4 in the final minutes with a 51-49 win over No. 2 Honda.

No. 8 Dixie Chopper led No. 5 Troy-Bilt for the better part of Round 3. However, Troy-Bilt pulled off a 51-49 buzzer-beater to take the win.

"It's surprising to see all of the No. 1 seeds, including John Deere, out of the tournament by Round 4," said Jose Castellanos, lawn mower expert at Mowers Direct. "The underdogs really came to play."

Round 4 Matchups

The fourth round of Mower Madness tipped off and will continue for four days, ending at 11:00 am on April 4th.

The remaining 8 lawn mower brands are separated into four divisions.

Ariens vs. Grasshopper

Fescue Division

Troy-Bilt vs. Ferris

Bent Grass Division
