Mowers Direct Announces Mower Madness Semi-Finalists

BOLINGBROOK, IL (March 20, 2014) - At MowersDirect.com, Round 4 of Mower Madness has come to an end.

The tournament that began with over five dozen lawn mower brands has now reached The Favorite Four. These four brands are now battling for the chance to compete in the Mower Madness Championship.

No. 4 Swisher breezed into Round 5 with a 73%-27% closeout win over No. 2 Simplicity. No. 4 Gravely showed no mercy in a 74%-26% win over No. 3 Husqvarna.

As for the nail biters, No. 5 Ariens took a 52%-48% win over No. 3 Grasshopper, and No. 5 Troy-Bilt got the necessary last-minute votes to pull ahead for a very close 50.23%-49.77% win over No. 3 Ferris.

"You can feel the excitement building as the field is narrowed," said Jose Castellanos, lawn mower expert at Mowers Direct. "It's clear at this point that this is anyone's tournament to win."
