Several years ago I bought a Karcher G2800OH pressure washer I believe that is the model it looks just like the picture sold by Costco.
It worked perfectly for about 6 or 8 times using it to wash off patios and the side of the house- not commercial use at all. Then the next time I went to use it I cold not get the pressure to kick in. I thought it was because the city pressure was not high enough, so I did not use it.
I took it to another location we own a with a few rent houses where I knew the pressure was good. The same thing happened, the engine ran good but the pump would not kick in to the high pressure mode. I checked the screens and made sure all was good for water flow into the unit. I thought maybe it was just a bad unit.
Stupidly, I bought another unit same model, and took it to our beach house. We depend on getting all of the salt water and sand off our toys before we leave them until the next trip. The new unit worked a couple of times just fine and then the same thing happened. I know the pressure is good there as we have a pump that will maintain between 50 and 60 pounds of pressure.
I finally had to get our caretaker to loan me his old unit, I don't know what brand it was, but it worked very well. So I have not bought any more products from Karcher, because of my terrible experiences. The only thing I could figure out if there was a flaw in the design that I was unlucky enough to get purchase two of.
I definitely would not recommend that model and not any other model manufactured by Karcher.
If someone from the factory wants to follow up with me, I still have both units the one here in town serial number is 500837. Im thinking maybe I could use the Honda engines on something.
PWD RESPONDS: Your pressure washers have their warranty through the folks at Karcher. Please give them a call, toll free, at (800) 537-4129.
It may help that before starting the motor, squeeze the spray gun trigger until the water runs smoothly through- this pushes all the air out of the pump. Then you can start the engine and avoid vapor lock in the pump.

Satisfied customer
This model is identical to the one I bought about 4 years ago. The only difference is that mine has a Tecumseh motor on it, and it usually fires on the first or second pull.
I use it for all the concrete, fences, and anything else I can think of around my place, the in-law's and my son's place.
I have also used it where I work washing cranes, forklifts, trucks etc. I don't know how I ever lived without one.
If I could find another like it I'd probably buy it.

Great House Keeping Tool and Money Maker
I use my pressure washer around the house on the deck, driveway, and even the privacy fence. I've made a little side money by cleaning for neighbors and friends.
When the sun turns your pivacy fence gray, that's just a very thin layer. The wood is still beautiful underneath. All you need is a decent pressure washer.
I had one that was 1600 PSI but the pump went out on it. This 2600 PSI model is stronger and more durable, yet not so strong that it will break glass windows, doors, etc.
It is a very valuable tool.

Do not buy reconditioned
It did not work out the box. No pressure after releasing trigger. Have to wait 3 weeks at local repair shop.

How to Turn One Man's Trash into Your Treasure
Recently, the neighbor down the block placed their pressure washer on the curb for the weekly trash pickup.
I felt more than compelled to inquire about the pressure washer and see if it was really trash or treasure.
The neighbor said the machine wouldn't work and I was welcome to take it home. Enough said!!!
Although, the lady of the house gave me "the look" when I was carting it into the garage, I was determined to check it out.
Overall, the 6.0hp Briggs and Stratton engine ran well, but the old pump had seen better days. Ordered a new 2500psi AR pump and bolted up without any problems. Cleaned her up, changed the oil, plug, and added a touch of flat black paint for a finishing touch.
Worked like a charm on the ol' driveway and other home projects. Now the lady of the house gives me the "you da man" look....I'm the home repair hero now.
