Q: Hi Jim, I recently bought a trash pump with 3 inch hose connectors. I then went online and bought two 3 by 50 foot long qvc soft hoses. Unfortunately I can't get my pump to suck much water because I believe the kinks in the blue hose r stopping the flow. Thus, I was wondering if your 3 by 20 PVC suction hose would work better to get water sucked then use my blue ones for the output? Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Jason by Jason W from Pennsylvania on June 08, 2014
A: In order to have a good suction on your inlet side, you must be using a good quality suction hose that will NOT collapse during use. The suction and discharge hoses are made of totally different material due to this requirement and as such, the Apache or JGB 3" x 20' PVC Suction Hose would get your pump operating as it should providing you did not damage or burn out the pump in running it dry. by Jim, Product Expert
