  4 Questions
Q: is the oil capacity a full 20 ounces?
by Gary from Mississippi on September 27, 2013

A: Gary,

This is a good question. Briggs and Stratton states in the owner's manual states that the engine oil capacity is anywhere from 18 to 20 oz.

If I were you, I would put in about 18 oz. Let the engine sit for about 15 minutes, and then see if there needs to be any more added after it has settled. Take care not to overfill the reservoir because you will be smoking and burning oil.

Q: I have a stone walkway that I want to trim so that the grass between each stone is the same height as the stones. Do any of the walk behind string trimmers have an adjustment to accomplish that task?
by JOHN from Washington on August 26, 2013

A: John,

You are in luck my friend, the Husqvarna HU625HWT will cut down to 1.6", bringing you as close as you are ever going to be with a walk behind.

If you have any further questions, always feel free to contact me directly at 800-710-7499 Ext. 133.

I'm always happy to help!

Q: Do any walk behind string trimmers have an electric start?
by Peggy Trost from Iowa on August 24, 2013

A: Peggy,

I am sorry to say that no, there aren't any in our stock, or that I know of being built to date. All of the walk behind trimmers I know are equipped with a recoil, or pull start.
by Marissa, Product Expert

Q: Is there nylon covered blade attachments you can buy for this walk behind trimmer to handle the thicker brush instead of using the trimmer line?
by Barry from Minnesota on May 07, 2013

A: Barry - sorry, but none of the walk behind trimmers that we sell can be converted to use a brush blade.

A Trimmer To Get Excited About!
I bought this trimmer to handle my crazy overgrown backyard. As you can see in my video review, the trimmer does great. It handles brush and grass of all heights. My only complaint was that I quickly went through all of the string lines provided. But to be fair that was mostly my fault as I broke the lines on hidden metal objects found in the yard. Overall this is a great trimmer that I am going to get plenty of use out of.

I bought the trimmer from PowerEquipmentDirect.com they had one of... more

"Great experience. I needed a trimmer and you guys had the right trimmer for the right price. I was worried about shipping and getting the trimmer delivered. Shipping ended up being very fast and easy and I was out using my trimmer before I knew it. Thank you PED!"

Very excited to get the new weed eater that I could roll around the yard. Have always had the "over the shoulder" weed eaters in the past and having to maintain 5 acres they got heavy. Took the new machine out of the box, added line, fuel.... started immediately - YEAH. In less than 1.5 hours the trim head was broken. The plastic casing around the neck had totally broken away. We are in the process of trying to figure out if this is common and how to proceed from here.

Less Than 20 Hr And Motor Came Apart
Bought this trimmer last summer and used it for about 20 hours. Stored it for the winter in my work shed. Took it out checked the oil, filled with gas (non-ethanol). Started on the second pull.
Less than 5 minutes had a loud noise and before I could shut it off a loud bang and lots of smoke.
BIG hole in the side of the block!

Not a Husqvarna warranty issue. Briggs and Stratton warranty issue.

Now waiting to hear from the repair shop if Briggs will honor the warranty. Not holding my... more

Love This Trimmer
It does turn over quite easily on steep ground but it does a good job and is light weight.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Reliable, I'd Buy It Again

Ditch Cleanup
I have a steep sided ditch with thick grass and brush along the side of the road. This trimmer has the top part cleaned up pretty well however it did have a few mishaps (it turns over easily). I haven tried the steepest part yet.

One Tank Of Fuel & Now Won't Start
Purchased it new here on Mowers Direct. Used for ONE tank of fuel. Stored it in a dry clean heated garage for a few winter months. Filled the tank with fresh fuel, checked the oil & proceeded to prime and yank my self to frustration. Will Not start!

Sophisticated Animal
A couple weeks ago I received my Husqvarna Whacker on wheels. It arrived a couple days early. That's a good thing. I read the instructions, filled the oil and gas tank, and it fired right up.

I was hesitant to use it as it looks great. All the finishes on it are excellant. It's a nice looking machine.

The five acres we have took a beating from this animal. Don't get me wrong, I didn't do the whole lot with this, my Husqvarna "fast mower" did the rest. But, this paved the... more

Weed Beater
This thing started up right out of the box. Add oil and gas and its a weed beat down! The grass I had to mow was about 4 feet high. Other than the thinner grass (that would wrap around the head), it just chewed everything up. Including 3/4" trees. Much cheaper than the DR trimmer and just as good.

Huqvarna Wheeled Trimmer
I bought this trimmer, took it out of the box and used it 5 hours. The front trimmer bearing is locked up and the spool got hot and was thrown off. Not what I would have expected for spending so much money. The manner I was using the trimmer is not considered heavy duty.

The Best Machine I Have Ever Used
I needed something that would take down high knee grass and plenty of it. I wanted a string trimmer that would do the job I was using my small weed trimmer for around the plants and trees to do a yard, it took forever. I searched the internet looking for something heavy duty and found the Husqvarna and purchased it. It arrived in less time than I thought it would. I put it together and started it up one two three. It cleared so much of my yard and I wanted to keep going but pooped out before I... more

Works Perfect Now
The Item Was Shipped and Arrived Damaged Due to What Looked Like Dropping Box or Putting Something Very Heavy On Top of It. It Bent the Axle, and Both Tires Were At An Angle.

I Called Mowers Direct and Talked to Jose, and He Ordered a New Axle and Had It Sent to Me. I Have Used It Now 3 Times and It Works Perfect.

It Does a Great Job On Tall Grass; the Only Draw Back Is That Grass Builds Up Above the Skid Foot On the Shaft. Under Normal Use Like Trimming the Yard or Short Items,... more
