  7 Questions
Q: Does this machine have shear pins for the auger and third stage?
by Bob Bartelson from Massachusetts on December 03, 2014

A: Bob - yes, the Cub Cadet 3526SWE uses the same OEM-738-04124 shear pins as the Cub Cadet two-stage models do: shear pins
by Marissa, Product Expert

Q: Is this machine at least 10 horse power to handle heavy wet snow
by Reg from New Hampshire on November 28, 2014

A: Reg - there is no true conversion from cc's to HP. But the 357cc engine in the Cub Cadet 3526SWE is roughly equal to 11 HP
by Marissa, Product Expert

Q: Who makes this engine.? Is it made in the United States?
by Mark from Missouri on October 26, 2014

A: Mark - Cub Cadet builds their own engines. They are manufactured in China.

Q: I JUST PURCHASED A 3 STAGE 26" CUB CADET SNOW BLOWER AND WANT TO KNOW IF CUB CADET MAKES CHAINS FOR IT MY DRIVE IS QUITE STEEP.
by JOHN JOPPIE from Michigan on October 21, 2014

A: John - the Cub Cadet 3526SWE has a 15" x 5" tire. We sell a set of Toro #107-3813 tire chains that will work just fine on a Cub Cadet if you need chains: tire chains
by Marissa, Product Expert

Q: Do these drift cutters work with Cub Cadet (26") 357cc Three-Stage Snow Blower or do they already come with this machine?
by Kim Marino from Colorado on December 12, 2013

A: Kim - you are correct. The Cub Cadet 26" three-stage model would use the OEM-390-679 drift cutters. The three-stage models do not come with drift cutters.
by Marissa, Product Expert

Q: What is better steel or polymer chute with wet snow?
by Don Bachman from Michigan on November 23, 2013

A: Don - you will find people who like steel and people who like polymer when it comes to dealing with wet snow. My preference is for the polymer chute when dealing with wet snow, but either way, you'll most likely need to treat the discharge chute with a non-stick spray to fully prevent wet snow from sticking inside the discharge chute.
by Marissa, Product Expert

Q: Bob,

How will this machine perform on an unpaved drive?

by Al Openshaw from Minnesota on November 09, 2013

A: Hello Al,

The Cub Cadet (26") 357cc Three-Stage Snow Blower is designed to clear the heaviest of snow on even unpaved surfaces. As you lower the skid shoes, it will raise the auger so that you are not forcing rocks through the impeller as well.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you and have a great day!

Cub Cadet's 3526SWE had added an additional feature that is changing the snow clearing game. They have added a patented “3rd” stage auger to its 2-stage housing allowing this blower to handle 50% more snow than a traditional two stage snow blower making it great for most property owners alike.

Equipped with a powerful 357cc Cub Cadet OHV engine, the 3526SWE has more than enough torque to handle the heaviest of snow fall. Stocked with a standard electric start, all you do is press a button... more

Cub Cadet (26") 357cc Three-stage Snow Blower
Received item in just a few days, it arrived in perfect condition, took 10 minutes to set up. The only problem is that when I filled it with fuel and pushed the primer bulb 3 times it leaked fuel, I don't know if its a broken or cracked tube or something more serious. I let it sit for several minutes before I attempted to start it, putting the choke on and using the electric start it started right up, used it for about 2 hours in the snow storm we just got hit with and it worked flawlessly. Jury Is Still Out...
I received my snow blower and found an issue with the chute. Customer service wait times on phone were pretty ridiculous.

It took 4 calls to finally find someone who could help me out. Since I had not received any warranty information, I didn't know what to expect.

I will be receiving a "replacement" part, which is kind of sad, since this is a $1300 brand new snow blower. But we will see how it goes...so far, not real pleased with this buy...neither the product nor the seller... more

James,
We're sorry to hear you're dissatisfied with the snow blower. If the chute is the only problem, the replacement of the chute should be an appropriate solution.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, and if you have any further concerns regarding your new 3-stage snow blower, please give us a call at (888) 317-7669.

I'm Ready
I received my unit today on-time.... My thoughts are below:

1. Excellent packing from the manufacture. No damage.

2. Directions are a bit tough for the setup. But no major concerns.

3. Great build quality.

4. Started up right away.

5. Average size unit. Not massive.

6. I would highly recommend PED!

Looking forward to not shoveling snow this year......

Nice Experience
My purchase from Snow Blowers Direct was a nice experience. The machine was exactly what I expected, it arrived when I was told to expect it, and the minor assembly was easy.

In addition, since the packaging was slightly damaged, the shipping company spent extra time to ensure that everything inside was undamaged before they left.

First Time Utilized
The expected snow in NJ was not anywhere near the predicated amounts. Regardless the Blower is very easy to utilize and the power steering is a welcome addition.

-Very Powerful
-End Of Driveway Snow is not a challenge
-Heated hand grips are only of value if you have on non-insulated gloves.
-Hard to start without the electric starter
-Exit Chute is tricky until you can comfortable.

3x26 Is An Animal!
Only used it half a dozen times or so, but I love this machine! We recently had some above-freezing temps, and there were wet piles of snow 3' high or so. The Cub Cadet ate them for breakfast...it actually seemed to come alive when it hit the piles. I'd be tooling along down the path, and when the blades hit a pile the rpm's would kick up and blow it out of the park, almost as if the machine was enjoying itself.

Can't recommend it highly enough: outstanding machine, more than adequate for... more

Simple, Easy, And Potent
First let me say I did a ton of research before deciding on this snowblower. We are about 80 feet back from the road, up a decent hill and then we have an extended drive way across 3 garage bays and then an extension that was built to hold a motor home off to the side, for about 5-6K sqft of driveway.

I am not overly handy, and building this was simple, learning how to start it up was super easy and straightforward. Operating it is pretty easy and straightforward. Variable speeds made it... more

Nice Machine... But
It finally snowed enough to use the 3 stage 357cc.

The machine ran fine and did a great job. The only problem was trying to use the joy stick to get the chute to move properly. I had difficulty trying to squeeze the red button in all the way to get the snow chute to move where I wanted the blown snow to go.

I had to stop several times & try to get a good enough grip on the handle and red trigger switch to activate the chute. Not a very good design in my opinion, especially for anyone... more

Get A Bucket Of Pins And Lots Of Patience For This One
I thought that the Cub Cadet 3x was a good idea worthy of the 300 inches of snow that we get in the Keweenaw. I didn't really care how much it cost because I just need to move a lot of snow quickly when the gales of November come early. The idea really is pretty good, but the execution is lacking. The blower does power through heavy snow as proven on the 3 ft of snow we got in mid November. Then the 2ft we got a few days later.

It starts up on the first or second pull. Unfortunately, I... more

Great Product!
Great balance of features, power, 3-stage, heated grips, essentially power steering, large snow tires. It has it all. Very happy with its performance. I have a 250' driveway with a 8% incline. Takes about four passes to clear a 10' wide path, and eats the berms that the county snow plows build up at the base of the driveway.

the blower is a beast. It blows snow a good distance and it does good job. Even with heavy wet snow, it will plow it. The blower has very good traction also. I'm a very happy customer
