Big Brands Fall in Second Round of Mower Madness

Toro, Craftsman, and Bad Boy are Mowed Down by Competition

BOLINGBROOK, IL (March 28, 2014) - Round 2 of Mower Madness brought a few major upsets. Three top seeds were knocked out of the tournament in the final moments.

No. 4 Swisher advanced to Round 3 with a 55-45 win over No. 1 Toro. No. 14 Black & Decker took the win over No. 6 Craftsman 58-42. And No. 8 Dixie Chopper breezed into the next round with a 62-38 victory over No. 1 Bad Boy.

"We were quite surprised to see Toro fall so soon," said Jose Castellanos, expert at Mowers Direct. "There was a lot of participation from Poulan Pro and their followers, helping them pull ahead in the final moments of Round 2."

Round 3 Matchups

The third round of Mower Madness tips off today and will continue for three days, ending in the late morning hours of March 31st.

The remaining 16 lawn mower brands are separated into four divisions.
